Pipework renovation in lean cycle

March 2021 sees the start of the refurbishment of the 48-apartment highrise buildings on Isenringstrasse in Gossau

Following the successful completion of the general planning phase, Implenia has been awarded a follow-up contract for the refurbishment of the high-rise buildings on Isenringstrasse in Gossau by client SISKA.

04.11.2020  On behalf of SISKA, Implenia is acting as total contractor for the complete renovation of the highrise buildings at Isenringstrasse 3 and 9 in Gossau. The 96 flats will be renovated in a lean cycle.

The extensive measures are designed to maintain value and include, among other things, the removal of pollutants, the renewal of the building envelope including the roof, and the extension of kitchens, bathroom facilities and the rooms in a string renovation. The renovation will take place in uninhabited condition.

After the refurbishment, the buildings will meet the valid operational requirements and legal conditions. For the demanding timing of the measures, digitalised cycle control according to the lean management principle is used, together with a sophisticated logistics concept. With the support of Implenia's experts, various renovation scenarios were drawn up in order to develop the best possible sequence planning. This resulted in the renovation concept, which Implenia is implementing as a total contractor. "We will use a digital and new method for quality management on this project," explains Henning Puhl, site manager of the team of Patrick Schneuwly, team leader.

The 12.5 million euro project will start in March 2021 and will be completed by early 2022. The project team is highly motivated and is looking forward to the renewed cooperation with SISKA, the client's representative ProjektBeweger and the start of construction.
