Schwamendingen enclosure - noise protection measure

The enclosure of the N01/40 national road between the Aubrugg motorway junction and the Schöneichtunnel over a length of just under one kilometre will create a utility structure around 30 metres wide that is unique in Switzerland. Construction of the new cut-and-cover tunnel with a length of 940 metres, a width of 30 metres and a height of 8 to 10 metres.

Renewal Waldenburg Railway

The renewal of the Waldenburg railway between Liestal and Waldenburg includes the upgrading of sections of the line to double track, the reconstruction and new construction of stops, the total renovation of the Waldenburg terminus and the construction of a new workshop. A gauge change to one metre gauge and a new safety layer are planned for the entire line.

Nant de Drance pumped storage power station

Construction of a pumped storage power plant between the two dam walls. The new power plant cavern is located at an altitude of approx. 1700 m. The underground facility is accessed from below through a 5 km long tunnel and from above through a 2 km long tunnel system.

Cologny pontoons

The attraction of this new bathing area is undoubtedly the "large floating wooden circle" on the lake, which is located in front of the shore. It is the largest platform of its kind on Lake Geneva. The special attraction of this facility is the central pool opening. Bathers can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Lake Geneva basin and its world-famous "Jet d'Eau".
