Festive handover of keys - "WolkenWerk" in Zurich is handed over to the client on schedule

Since the ground-breaking ceremony and thus the start of construction of the "Wolken-Werk" in August 2017, the project team has repeatedly faced considerable challenges. On Friday, 13 November, the building was nevertheless handed over to the clients Leutschen-bach AG and Nyffenegger Immobilien AG on schedule.

"We are delighted that the high-rise buildings are ready for move-in on schedule. We would like to thank all those involved in the project, who have contributed with great commitment and tireless effort to bringing this demanding project to a successful conclusion. In particular, we would also like to thank the building owners for their trust and good cooperation throughout the entire project period," said Andreas Dittli, Implenia's Head of Construction Division Buildings in the Zurich / East region.

The result is more than 300 condominiums for around 1,800 users with high standards of living quality and sustainability: from studios and flexible garden flats to exclusive penthouse maisonettes. With its proven integrated approach, Implenia has provided general contractor services as well as services from the specialist foundation engineering and master builder sectors. This complex large-scale project placed high demands on the cooperation of all partners, which is why one focus was on the application of lean construction methods. With the help of lean construction, the execution of the construction project was viewed in an integrated manner, correlations were made visible and the process flows and communication were significantly optimised.

The first occupancy starts on 16 November 2020 and will be phased in by the future residents until 15 January 2021.
