The project

As part of the federal government’s programme to improve noise protection measures on railways, noise barriers were constructed along the railway line 44810 Zuffenhausen–Calw and then to Ditzingen station.

Standard noise barriers were used, as well as posts with base plates on a special construction.

Challenges

This project was financed jointly as a cooperative measure between DB Netz AG and the regional authorities of Stuttgart because a road that falls under the responsibility of the latter, situated next to the railway tracks, was also determined to be a source of emissions.
