Another major order for Implenia in Norway

Construction of the new "Lysebotn II" hydro-electric power plant | Implenia Norge reaches record order volume

Dietlikon, 22 October 2013 – Lyse Produksjon AS has commissioned Implenia to build the new "Lysebotn II" hydroelectric power plant. This order is worth more than CHF 90 million (more than NOK 600 million). "Lysebotn II" will replace an existing hydroelectric plant and produce 1.5 TWh per year, an increase of 14%. The work at Lysebotn, a village near the coastal town of Stavanger in south Norway, begins in May 2014 and will take almost four years to complete.

Thanks to this newly acquired major project, Implenia Norge's order volume stands at a record high of around CHF 320 million (about NOK 2100 million), which is greater than the Business Unit's production output last year. Since Implenia acquired Betonmast Anlegg AS in 2011, the order volume in Norway has roughly quadrupled, and the production output has risen sharply.
