EUREF Campus Berlin

Short description

The EUREF Campus 12-13 at the Schöneberg Gasometer is Berlin's first LEED Platinum-certified building project.

The project

In September 2011, Denkmalplus Beteiligungsgesellschaft commissioned the Leipzig branch to handle the planning starting with Service Phase 5 of the HOAI and the turnkey construction of the EUREF Campus 12-13. The property is part of an urban neighborhood on the site of the Schöneberg Gasometer. Certified as a Green Building in 2014, it exemplifies the high quality of office space at the EUREF Campus.

Services in detail

The office building was equipped with energy-efficient insulation materials, triple-glazed windows with integrated sun protection, and smart facades. The office lighting is automatically controlled based on occupancy and natural light. When selecting materials, priority was given to maximizing health and environmental sustainability. Hochbau Engineering advised the Leipzig branch on implementing these high standards. Building services, cost efficiency, environmental friendliness, and resource efficiency in the areas of energy, water, and materials are reflected throughout the entire building complex.

Sustainability

The intelligent building and energy management system controls the energy and heat supply for the fully leased new building and ensures optimal energy utilization with minimal consumption. This makes the property the flagship of the forward-looking and largely CO2-neutral urban neighborhood.
