Short description

Construction of a new initial reception center for asylum seekers. The “Sin Via” project was selected as the winner of a comprehensive design competition in 2014.

The project

The efficient new building, constructed using a modular wood-frame system, meets current environmental and energy efficiency standards, provides space for approximately 180 asylum seekers, and includes not only an accommodation area but also administrative and training rooms. The Initial Reception Center is scheduled to begin operations in September 2022.

The efficient new building, constructed using a modular timber design, meets current environmental and energy efficiency standards. Once the contract has been awarded, the preliminary design will be prepared, followed by the drafting of a message to the Grand Council requesting approval of a commitment appropriation.
