Renovation and addition of another floor to the residential buildings Affolternstrasse 77/79, 8050 Zurich. The existing 31 apartments were supplemented with an additional 4 apartments with a wooden extension. The tenants could remain in the apartments during the renovation.
The two residential buildings at Affolternstrasse 77 and 79 are in the immediate vicinity of Oerlikon railway station. The buildings are located between former factory buildings and residential buildings with typical local clinker brick facades and residential and commercial buildings with exterior plaster. The apartments are accessible either directly from the central staircases with passenger lift or via pergolas. The residential buildings at Affolternstrasse 77/79 include in the basement the ancillary rooms such as laundry rooms, technical rooms, underground car park and the entrances to the building.
