Electricity from sunlight

Implenia uses its own properties to generate electricity. Solar panels on the roofs of depots and production facilities in Switzerland and Germany have been providing solar power for years. By the end of 2025, the goal is to produce three gigawatt-hours of solar power per year.

Solar installations on the roofs of Implenia's Swiss depots near Satigny (GE), Vétroz (VS) and Schattdorf (UR) and at the asphalt plant in Ecublens (VD) have been supplying solar power for years. In Germany, a photovoltaic system on the roofs of the BBV Systems subsidiary in Bobenheim-Roxheim (RP) produces over 400 megawatt hours of electricity per year. Almost half of the energy generated is consumed on site.
