Parking Kunstmuseum Basel in operation

Parking Kunstmuseum Basel

After a construction period of around three years, the Parking Kunstmuseum Basel at St. Alban-Graben 3a in Basel opened for business in mid-December. It took almost 22 years from the first project idea in 1999 to the opening. Within 38 months, the Parking Kunstmuseum was built by Implenia as general contractor on behalf of a real estate fund of Credit Suisse Asset Management.

The new car park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are 350 parking spaces on four parking levels. In addition, the car park offers services such as e-filling stations, parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, parking spaces for women, mobile phone coverage and video surveillance.

Above ground, road construction work is underway in St. Alban-Graben to renew the road section and the Kunstmuseum tram stop. A roundabout near the Kunstmuseum will also ensure greater traffic safety and smoother traffic flow in the future and should be completed by the end of 2022.
