Implenia sells and develops property in Wetzikon as part of a new, diverse urban district

Implenia is selling a centrally located property in the masterplan development area "Stadtraum Unterwetzikon" to SISKA Immobilien AG. Implenia's Real Estate Development unit has been commissioned to develop the project over the next few years. Implenia and SISKA Immobilien have already worked together successfully on the planning and realisation of Haus Adeline Favre, a ZHAW training building specialising in health in Winterthur.

SISKA Immobilien plans to replace the existing property with a building with public-oriented uses on the ground floors and flats above. The next step will be to adopt the urban development model this autumn. Based on this, a private partial design plan will be drawn up as a basis for the project planning of the centre superstructure over two plots. Completion of the residential and commercial building at the western gateway to the city centre is planned for around 2029.

The Unterwetzikon district of Wetzikon is undergoing a dynamic transformation and growth phase and is developing into an attractive location for housing, utilities, commerce and services.

Wetzikon is an attractive place to live thanks to its good S-Bahn connections to Zurich and Rapperswil and the surrounding unique recreational area of the Zurich Oberland. The planned development will further enhance the attractiveness of the neighbourhood around the Wetzikon railway station and become part of a new, diverse urban district with a high quality of life.
