Implenia builds two sustainable new buildings at Liestal station

Implenia is constructing two buildings for SBB Immobilien at Liestal railway station. The contract is worth around CHF 41 million. Both buildings will be built to Minergie P and SGNI/DGNB Silver standards.

The first building (reception building) is being constructed as a replacement building in solid construction and includes the travel centre and retail areas on the ground floor, three upper floors for office use and a basement with retail and ancillary areas and access to the Oristal pedestrian subway. The office and retail areas will have a basic fit-out, while the travel centre will have a full fit-out.

Implenia is also constructing the new residential and commercial building in solid construction with restaurant and retail uses on the ground floor, one floor with office space and five floors with flats. Retail and ancillary areas as well as access to the Sichtern personnel subway are planned for the basement. The flats will be fully developed, while the office, retail and restaurant areas will be built to basic standards.

Implenia is already active in civil engineering at Liestal station with the four-lane extension project. We are very pleased that, in addition to this large, complex infrastructure project, we are now also able to realise an attractive new residential, work and meeting centre in Liestal.
