Innovative and sustainable - Implenia wins the German Construction Award 2024

Glattpark (Opfikon), February 21, 2024 - The German Construction Award 2024 goes to Implenia. The construction and real estate services provider was named the best and most innovative construction company in Germany in the category for over 500 employees and also secured places among the top 3 in the special prizes for "Young talent and employee development", "Occupational health and safety" and "Innovation for the construction industry". The aim of the competition, which has been running since 2013, is to identify and recognize the industry's pioneers. The award ceremony took place on February 20, 2024 as part of the digitalBAU trade fair in Cologne.

"With our expertise in managing large, complex real estate and infrastructure projects and our clear focus on our employees, sustainability,processes and digitalization, we are committed every day to making construction even more efficient and innovative - for the benefit of our customers. This award serves as an incentive for us to continue to improve in the future."

The German Construction Award was presented for the second time this year under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction. The participating companies had undergone an extensive, three-stage application process. They were assessed by a prominent, experienced and competent jury. The evaluation of the data and information was scientifically supported by the University of Wuppertal. In particular, the areas of personnel, processes, digitalization and sustainability were identified as particularly relevant for the future viability of companies by the scientists from the Construction Management and Construction Industry teaching and research area headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Helmus and evaluated in the competition with almost 200 submissions.
