Implenia Norge acquires concrete specialist

Targeted enhancement of service portfolio in Norwegian market

Dietlikon, 31 May 2012 Implenia is buying 100% of the shares of concrete specialist Midtnorsk Betongsprøyting AS. Based in Orkdal in Norway, the company posted revenue of almost CHF 8 million (NOK 46 million) and EBIT of almost CHF 2 million (around NOK 11 million) in 2011. The company has eight employees, all of whom are being kept on.

Midtnorsk Betongsprøyting AS is a specialist in shotcreting, rock protection and injection – services that it offers throughout Norway. For Implenia Norge the acquisition represents a targeted enhancement of its service portfolio. The transaction is scheduled to complete shortly, subject to approval by the Norwegian competition authorities.
