Fürstenhof, Frankfurt am Main
Short description
In downtown Frankfurt, the Fürstenhof—a historic landmark built in 1902—is being converted into a modern multi-tenant office building. Implenia Fassadentechnik is equipping the glass barrel vault roof with motorized glass louvers.
The project
Located in a central CBD location in downtown Frankfurt, directly on Gallusanlage, is the Fürstenhof, a historic building constructed in 1902 and designated as a historic landmark. As part of an extensive revitalization project that preserves the existing structure, the approximately 34,000 m² of gross floor area is being redeveloped into a modern, flexibly divisible multi-tenant office building with complementary dining and retail spaces in the base level.
The Hamburg-based Momeni Group, which purchased the building in 2021 together with partners, submitted a building permit application in the summer of 2023. Completion of the construction work—for which the Momeni Group says it will invest more than 300 million euros—is scheduled for 2026. Both the historically protected facade and 90 percent of the building’s structural framework—which dates back to the complete gutted-out and rebuilt structure from the 1990s—are to be preserved.
