KS-2 Tangenvika jernbanebru

Short description

Bane NOR and Implenia Norway has entered a contract to construct a railway bridge with a double-track railway over Tangenvika in Stange Kommune. The contract, which is a turnkey contract for Tangenvika railway bridge, is the second of the turnkey contracts on the InterCity-project Kleverud-Sørli-Åkersvika.

The project

Tangenvika railway bridge, which will connect Espa and the Tangen peninsula together, will with its 1042 meters be the longest railway bridge ever built in Norway.

KS-2 also includes the day zone north of the bridge; Furnesodden (1,8 km). At Furnesodden, east of the rail, a rigging and quay area will be established. West of the track there will be established a storage for loose masses. The railway will pass a wildlife passage and further through a two-sided, steep rock cutting. Tracks and other railway-technical installations are not included in the contract.
