Umgestaltung Worbstrasse
Short description
The project comprised the rehabilitation and extension of Worbstrasse between the junction with Allmendingenweg and the end of the village.
The project
A multipurpose lane was added to the roadway to facilitate turning. The sidewalk on the Siloah side was shifted slightly towards the south. In the area of the new sidewalk and the road, the foundation layer was renewed or supplemented and all edge trims and manhole covers were replaced. The resurfacing was carried out over the entire roadway and sidewalk. Since all the work was carried out under traffic conditions, it was divided into several stages.
In addition, the platform at the RBS Siloah station was raised in order to ensure disabled access in the direction of Worb. In order not to disrupt the train schedule, this work was carried out at night.
