Short description

As part of the E6 H1 Frya-Vinstra project, Implenia constructed three bridges for AF Gruppen, of which Harpe bridge is the largest with its 320 m. Harpe Bridge crosses Lågen river at Harpefoss in Sør-Fron. Harpe bridge is a extradosed bridge, which means that it is a hybrid between a stay cabel bridge and a prestressed girder bridge.

The project

Harpe bridge is a extradosed bridge, which basically means that it is a hybrid between a stay cabel bridge and a prestressed girder bridge. The bridge is 320 m long and has a span of 45m - 60m - 100m - 60m - 45m. The bridge has four lanes and is one of the largest and most spectacular landmarks on the new E6 in Gudbrandsdalen.

In addition to Harpe bridge, the contract included Solhaug bridge of 80 m and Vinstersletta bridge of 125 m.
