Erneuerung Saanenmöserstrasse Priorität 3, Los 5+6+7

Short description

The present project comprised an approx. 1.95 km long section in the overall project of the renewal of the Saanenmöserstrasse.

The project

It was divided into 3 lots (lots 5, 6 and 7) with a staging of approx. 650m' each. In addition to the renewal of the entire road surface including the foundation layer, it also included the widening of the road space. This necessitated the construction of new retaining structures such as retaining walls and wall plates, which were primed on micropile foundations and held in place by means of tension piles. Clean excavated material generated from the construction site and suitable for use was temporarily transported and built into layers on site for embankment fill and thus reused. The road drainage system was replaced along the entire length and adapted with discharge into the receiving watercourse or into the existing discharge to the "Kleine Simme" river. In addition, various service lines for Swisscom and BKW were replaced. In lot 5, in addition to the road area, two bridges, the lower and upper Honegggraben bridges, were demolished and rebuilt, and a new turning ramp was constructed, all in cast-in-place concrete. A new footpath was constructed for the community of Saanen. Stabilization of the embankment above the footpath was achieved by means of a new block wall in backfill concrete. Also in lot 7, a bridge, the Ledigraben bridge, was demolished and rebuilt. Along the entire length of the 3 lots, various forecourts, parking lots and side road connections were constructed or adapted to the new conditions. The natural stone masonry was also rehabilitated along the entire length. The pavement structure consisted of AC T 22 S (8cm), an AC B 16 S PmB (5cm) and a surface course AC 11 S PmB (3cm), which was installed in a later stage over the entire lots.

The traffic volume on this road is very high and varies greatly depending on the season, weather and days of the week. All work took place under traffic. At all times, single-lane traffic guidance, which was controlled by a radar-controlled traffic light system, had to be ensured. The length of each construction site was limited to 400m'. All material handling, transport to and from the site and installation changes took place outside the traffic area.
