Flu vaccination

Influenza can cause severe, sometimes even life-threatening complications. Vaccination is recommended for people with an increased risk of complications and their close contacts in the private and professional spheres. Get vaccinated by December and protect yourself and the people around you!

How does the flu manifest itself?

  • Fever over 38°C
  • Headache, tiredness, dizziness
  • Cough (dry at the beginning)
  • Muscle and joint pain

The symptoms often occur suddenly and abruptly with severe malaise and chills, occasionally also with a cold, sore throat and difficulty swallowing.

Protection against other colds?

The flu is often confused with a cold or COVID-19 illness. The flu vaccination only offers protection against the "real" flu (influenza).

A flu vaccination can be given at the same time as, before or after a COVID-19 vaccination. But please note: Implenia only covers the costs of the flu vaccination.
