Beam shoring consists of vertical beams between which a horizontal lag of timber, shotcrete, steel planks or precast concrete elements is installed. The steel beams are inserted into the ground either by ramming / vibrating or by setting them in boreholes.
Beam shoring
This performance range is subdivided into different design variants. The most common is the so-called "Berlin shoring". The name originates from the 1930s, when this type of shoring was used in the construction of the Berlin underground. Other variants are Hamburg shoring and Essen shoring. They differ mainly in the choice of the beam profile and the position of the infill.
