Our dynamics for a static environment
Compensatory injections
In recent years, the technology of compensation injections has been further developed in special civil engineering, which makes it possible to reduce settlements from construction activities to a level that is harmless for the affected buildings.
Compensatory injections
Any ground intervention, whether tunnel driving, anchor drilling, pile construction or excavation, is accompanied by a change in the stress state in the ground. As a rule, this manifests itself as surface or building settlement. Whether these settlements are problematic depends less on the amount of settlement than on the steepness of the settlement depression and the position of the building relative to the settlement depression. Furthermore, the type of construction and the building fabric play an important role. In most cases, settlements that are uniform over the base area are irrelevant. In this case, problems can only arise from damage to supply and disposal lines. If the building stands on the edge of the settlement depression or protrudes into it, it will either be tilted or twisted. The resulting damage ranges from harmless but expensive tile or stucco damage to burst water or gas pipes or continuous wall cracks to the falling down of stair flights. Compensatory injection, which we added to our repertoire in 2005 and have been constantly developing ever since, offers the possibility of largely avoiding this damage.
