Seniorenzentrum Mosbach/Neckar
Short description
The new construction in the Waldhof-Ost district of Mannheim offers a high standard of living for the elderly.
The project
The five-storey new construction in Mannheim features an integrated communal kitchen, single rooms with bath/shower units, dementia-friendly gardens, bathtubs with lifting mechanisms, and a marketplace. A total of 133 rooms for residents were built. The Buildings branch in Frankfurt planned and coordinated the entire project, right through to handover ready for operation.
Implenia has already successfully completed a large number of care home projects, and has pooled its expertise in this field in the Buildings branch in Frankfurt. With its many years of experience, Implenia is the perfect expert partner for the construction and extension of retirement homes, care centres, nursing homes and similar social facilities.
Services in detail
Implenia was the general contractor for the project after coming out on top in the bidding phase following prequalification and an ideas competition. The project included the complete planning and coordination of all works, as well as turnkey construction of the new building. A special service provided by Implenia Buildings was the full furnishing of the care home, from the installation of special equipment to assist with care – such as lifting mechanisms for the bathtubs – through to the large shared kitchen and the individual kitchens attached to each group of residential units. The outdoor facilities include a garden specially designed for dementia patients.
