Logitech EMEA, Morges
Short description
Since the initial studies, MCM Architecture's desire was to create a physical and emotional link between the new Logitech Center "Europe - Middle East - Africa" and the different regions of the world it represents, to bring them closer to Morges and thus facilitate productive interaction. Each floor was given one of these regions as an identity.
The project
The reception on the first floor welcomes visitors into the high-tech world of Logitech through the choice of colors, materials, lighting and the shape of the reception furniture. The entire reception area is an architectural 3D play of the Logitech logo. Starting from this, a journey through several continents begins. On each level, long panels clad in Alcantara spread the color of the floor theme along the main corridors and improve the soundproofing of the offices. A sensual coffee corner with nature-inspired curves, also based on the same theme, allows users and employees to relax in a calm and subdued environment. Finally, miniature gardens set into the floor, illuminated by light blades, showcase particular aspects of plant life from different continents.
Services in detail
The theme of the second floor is Europe. The predominant color is the green of the young shoots of the trees and the green of the fir trees. The huge enlargements of photos on the walls depict the green nature of Europe in an abstract way. This is symbolically expressed by small fir trees in the miniature gardens. The second floor is decorated in the colors of Africa.
The predominant color is the red of the earth, sunsets and sunrises, the Maasai and African fabrics. Huge enlargements on the walls show the continent's nature and handicrafts. Fossil trees and rocks from the African deserts symbolically represent this special nature. The Middle East inspired the furnishings on the third floor. The predominant color is the ochre yellow of sand, sun and spices.
Huge enlargements on the walls show the architecture of the wind and people in an abstract way, caught in breathtaking contrasts of light. Bamboo and papyrus inhabit the miniature gardens. The theme of the fourth floor is the Mediterranean. The predominant color is the turquoise of the sky and the water. The huge enlargements on the walls show water and human architecture against the sky in an abstract way. Nature is symbolized by small pine forests. The fifth floor takes up the high-tech world of Logitech with conference rooms and demonstration rooms. The cafeteria, however, uses a deliberately "lounge-like" language to reflect the themes of the world regions developed on the floors.
