ETH HWW Living Science

Short description

The Luzerner Pensionskasse (Lucerne Pension Fund) constructed the new HWW "livingscience" student accommodation building on the Hönggerberg campus in partnership with Losinger Marazzi AG.

The project

Implenia produced the prefabricated wall elements for this hybrid building.  The elements were installed by a separate firm. 

The elements included a pre-mounted façade of pressure treated silver fir and extruded aluminum trim elements. 

Challenges

• Precision tolerances in façade prefabrication  

• Intensive planning and coordination with third-party contractors
