Large diameter bored piles Production method
The higher a structure, the deeper the foundation for lasting stability. Implenia uses its extensive knowledge and experience to achieve this. From the analysis of the subsoil to planning and implementation.
Large diameter bored piles Production method
Large-diameter bored piles are used as a foundation element for transferring concentrated building loads into deeper, load-bearing soil layers. They are also used as restrained piles for retaining walls when there is not enough space for a shallow foundation.
Piles are also produced for enclosing excavation pits in the form of pile walls, which can also become an integral part of the later structure.
The respective production method depends on the existing soil, the groundwater conditions, the depth of the piles and other boundary conditions.
The main differences between the construction methods are as follows:
- After the support of the borehole wall during drilling. A distinction is made between cased, partially cased, uncased and suspension-supported drilling.
- According to the method used to insert the casing. A distinction is made here between driving in by means of a drop hammer, vibrating by means of a vibrating hammer, driving in pneumatically (with compressed air) and driving in hydraulically by means of a drill drive, casing machine or pipe turning machine.
- According to the method of soil extraction Here, a distinction is made between grab drilling, rotary drilling, air-lift drilling and flush drilling.
