KUKA Entwicklungs- und Technologiezentrum
Short description
This project is an example of a cooperative partnership with the building owner. The planning and construction of the property were optimised in a joint process that focused on the overall costs and the operation of the building.
The project
Over a gross floor area of around 38,000 square metres, the new development on Zugspitzstraße has office space for some 850 employees, conference areas and a new canteen for all staff at the site. A representative showroom has been added next to the robot test halls.
In order to guarantee that the new construction remained within budget and on deadline, the building owner instructed the major projects branch and the Munich branch to work together on planning and constructing the building. The first phase of the project involved revising the existing draft plans in order to make them feasible within the specified target budget of approximately 60 million euros. High functional requirements were met and the projected construction costs were confirmed.
