BAB A9 BW373c
Short description
Construction of a bridge structure at the Nuremberg BAB A9 / A3 interchange.
The project
Structure BW373c is a bridge structure on the A9 motorway that is being built next to the existing structure. As a result, the new bridge will be located in an island position between the A3 and A9 freeways at the Nuremberg interchange during the construction period. The alignment of the highway will be changed after completion of the new bridge and the existing structure will be demolished.
The bridge has three piers. One is located in the central reservation of the BAB A3 freeway. The substructures are founded on bored piles. The superstructure is a two-span slab girder and is being built on falsework.
