Verkehrssanierung und städtebauliche Entwicklung in Laupen
Short description
After completion of the project, the course of the Sense River will be wider and more natural. Thus, the town of Laupen, the new train station, the bicycle and hiking paths along the Sense and the settlements in the Sense area will be better protected against flooding in the future. At the same time, the Sense will become more attractive as a recreational area, because the widening will create flat banks with bathing areas.
The project
The old track and station area west of Bösigenstrasse can be used as a bypass during the road construction work in the Stedtli, after which part of it will be used for the publicly accessible flat Senseufer. The remaining area can be used for center development in the future.
In the Stedtli, the speed will be reduced and flat crossing will be made possible. Together with the careful restoration of the historic paving in the side areas and new lighting of the individual buildings, this will result in a historically valuable space where people will enjoy spending time. Once the project is complete, there will be no sign of the rehabilitation of the utility lines. Likewise, the Sense auxiliary bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and the construction bypass west will be dismantled again. The new Sense bridge for motorized traffic will be built in the style of the old bridge and will meet the requirements of flood protection.
