Short description
Intergenerational living at Vogelkamp.
The project
Vogelkamp is a development area in the south-west of Hamburg that creates living space close to nature in a metropolitan region. Adjacent to the Moorgürtel nature reserve, not far from the Harburg mountains, a village-like residential feeling is being created without sacrificing urbanity.
The competition entry was a synthesis of the single-family, terraced and multi-family houses that characterize the district. A material-efficient construction method is the basis for the design of the ensemble. The small-scale structure makes reference to the outside space and the neighboring buildings. Efficient building technology makes the concept, which is designed for a long service life, fit for the future. The passive house certification promises resource-saving living with low operating costs.
The design for the project by ROBERT VOGEL GmbH & Co Kommanditgesellschaft received a commendation.
