E39 K11 Rådal - Nordås - The airport road is Implenia's largest road project in Norway and one of two main contracts on the E39 between Bergen and Os, which are part of the new standard road between Kristiansand and Trondheim.
The project
The project consisted mainly of the construction of three tunnels with a total length of nine kilometers or four day zones in Rådal, Nordås, Sørås and Skeievatnet. In addition to extensive mass migration, this included three bridges, nine portals and three technical buildings. The project was carried out close to existing traffic, and complex traffic management with a high focus on safety characterized the entire implementation.
During HSE Week 2017, Implenia won the HSE Award in connection with this project with a particular focus on working at height, use of cars, machinery and equipment, and the external environment.
