Short description
Implenia is revitalizing the façade of a former flue gas cleaning plant, which is being converted into a district cooling center.
The project
SWM Services GmbH is planning to build a new district cooling center (FKZ) in Munich. For this purpose, the existing building of a former flue gas cleaning plant on the company premises will be converted and rebuilt.
These construction measures include the partial dismantling and subsequent new construction of the trapezoidal sheet metal / louvre façade on the north, south and west sides of the building. The site is located to the east of the wholesale market halls on Schäftlarnstrasse in the Thalkirchen district within the Mittlerer Ring (B2R) in relative proximity to the Isar. One long side of the existing building is on the property boundary, while the other is adjacent to other buildings.
The existing building has a length of approx. 170 m, a width of approx. 11 m and a height of approx. 46 m.

- approx. 1600 m² trapezoidal sheet metal
- approx. 2,300 m² slatted facades

- approx. 650 m² insulation
