The project for the Farstagrenen connecting track is intended to link the Green Line south of Hökarängen station with the extended depot in Högdalen.
The project comprises the excavation of a double-track tunnel approximately 2000 m long and an underground shed approximately 450 m long parallel to the track tunnel. In addition to the excavation work, the project includes the connection to the existing green line, where a large cut will be made and a concrete tunnel with troughs will lead the tracks down into the rock tunnel. Various concrete works will be carried out in the rock tunnel itself and, at the end of the project, installations such as sprinklers, electricity, telecommunications, control and ventilation. The working tunnel will also be converted with a concrete portal for future access to the stabling hall.
