Start of construction on the "vierfeld" site in Pratteln
Dietlikon, 23 August 2013 – Following a planning phase of around two years, construction work on the "vierfeld" site in Pratteln got underway today with the laying of the foundation stone. Altogether over 300 apartments including a retirement home with apartments for the elderly and around 9,000m2 of office space are being created on four construction sites over the next three years. Project developer Mettler2Invest and investors Helvetia Insurance, Migros Pension Fund and Mobiliar Assest Management have commissioned Implenia as total contractor for around CHF 115 million to construct the residential and office building complex. At a height of 75 metres, the "helvetia tower" will be the site's distinguishing landmark. The tower will be completed over a construction period of around three years and will offer space for 124 attractive apartments from 2016. There will be a panoramic view from the lofty heights right across Pratteln and the Rhine plain. The "helvetia tower" is also planned to contain office space. There will be a public area in front of the building that can be used to house shops and cafés. Further information can be found at www.vierfeld-pratteln.ch.
