Letzigrund work payment case rejected by court of first instance
Dietlikon, 9 October 2015 – Implenia notes that Zurich District Court has in the first instance rejected Implenia’s claim for around CHF 23 million in the case about outstanding payments for subsequent alterations requested during the building of the Letzigrund Stadium. An initial assessment suggests that the Court’s reasoning fails to engage with Implenia’s arguments. Implenia is of the unchanged opinion that the city must pay for the alterations it asked for and that were carried out. Implenia is analysing the ruling, which is not yet legally binding, and is considering its next steps with regard to the two remaining courts of appeal. Implenia is also extremely surprised to note that the City of Zurich has lodged an additional complaint about an alleged leak in the stadium roof. The city is demanding rectification of defects or compensation amounting to CHF 10 million. Implenia decidedly rejects the allegations and the related demands.
