Letzigrund
Dietlikon, 17 October 2016 – Implenia is appealing to the Swiss Supreme Court to overturn Zurich High Court’s ruling of 15 September 2016 in the case about outstanding payments for the construction of the Letzigrund Stadium. The issue of total contractor liability for the client’s planning is of crucial importance, not just to Implenia but to the whole total contracting industry. A decision by Switzerland’s highest court should clarify the situation.
Implenia built the Letzigrund Stadium as ordered by the City of Zurich, including all the technical and scheduling changes requested by the city authorities. Consequently, Implenia still expects the outstanding bills of around CHF 20 million to be paid.
