Implenia gets green light from competition authorities to acquire Bilfinger Construction
Dietlikon, 27 January 2015– Implenia has taken a further step towards acquiring Bilfinger Construction GmbH. Germany's Bundeskartellamt approved the transaction on Tuesday. The competition authorities in Austria and Norway have already completed their legal processes. Closing is scheduled for the start of March 2015. Bilfinger Construction GmbH, part of Bilfinger SE, generates production output of around EUR 650 million and has 1850 employees; it offers extensive infrastructure construction services in German-speaking Europe and Scandinavia. With the planned acquisition, Switzerland's leading construction and construction services provider is taking an important step in its declared strategy of establishing itself internationally as a recognised expert in challenging infrastructure projects.
