Health & Safety Award 2021 – these are the winners
The "Golden Helmet" goes again this year to successful measures and initiatives for the prevention of accidents and the general promotion of occupational safety.
The award was presented at the virtual Implenia Extended Leadership Forum (IELF). CEO André Wyss introduced the event by saying: "Safety must be a topic for each and every one of us; it is a key element for success on our construction sites. Keeping our colleagues save is a top priority for all of us." The award, he said, is not just about picking a winner, but rather about keeping the conversation about health and safety alive.
Felix Akeret, Global Safety Head, then symbolically presented the award to the representative of the first-placed team, Sercan Sarikayali, Project Manager of DüdingenPlus. He said: “I was impressed by the project in many ways: the accessible safety information in the stairwells, the concept including digital safety rounds with iPads, the traffic concept in cooperation with the municipality and the bilingual management of the construction site are really outstanding.”
Fourth and fifth place went to Team Metro Lyon from France and Team E16 from Norway.
The excellent safety efforts of all five finalists are summarised in this video:
