Accident during transport of reinforcing bars

On 7 February 2022, an employee at an Implenia construction site in Switzerland was hit and seriously injured by a falling bundle of reinforcing bars which was being lifted by a crane. The accident raises a fundamental question that each and every one of us must ask ourselves again and again: Are we in control of our risks?

I would like to ask you to share and discuss the incident with your teams and evaluate any need for action in your projects. And please watch out for such risks when visiting construction sites!
