The project
To expand the research and development capacities of ProBioGen AG, which was founded in 1994 and develops biopharmaceutical active ingredients and vaccines, Implenia converted an existing office property into an office, laboratory and production building and added a freight elevator and a striking external steel staircase as an escape and rescue route.In addition to the technical centers in the basement, a prestigious reception area on the first floor, high-quality conference rooms, a staff cafeteria and offices, laboratories including laboratory furniture and clean rooms were built.
Services in detail
- In addition to the complex building services, systems were installed to produce and supply various qualities of water, including ultrapure water and technical gases N2, O2 andCO2.
- A recooling system is located in the inner courtyard.
- The outdoor facilities were redesigned.
- During the construction work, one wing of the building remained in use as an office area.
Challenges
Implementation of comprehensive qualifications for various units to prove that the rooms, supply systems, facilities and equipment installed by Implenia meet the pharmaceutical requirements.
