School and market
Short description
Implenia is building a new school in Heilbronn using timber/hybrid construction and a market on the ground floor.
The project
Implenia Hochbau is realizing the expansion of the Alt-Böckingen elementary school on Ludwigsburger Straße. Additional classrooms, rooms for all-day care and a canteen have become necessary so that the school can be expanded into a four-form entry elementary school and all-day school.
Services in detail
The new premises are housed in a three-storey building that adjoins the existing school to the south and offers commercial space on Klingenberger Strasse.
The base storey (market area) is a solid construction made of recycled concrete. A vertically structured timber slat cladding creates a link to the new school building and defines the inviting, friendly character of the market building. The school building is erected as a timber frame construction made of vertical lamella profiles and cross-laminated timber constructions for the ceiling and roof.
Sustainability
Renewable raw materials, recycled concrete, greening, infiltration and cistern systems.
