Renovation of washing platform in Bottrop

Implenia Tesch GmbH renovated the washing platform belonging to ArcelorMittal GmbH in Bottrop.

The project

Implenia Tesch carried GmbH out the following work:
Demolition, building shell, coating, fire safety and concrete repair work.

Type and scope of work:
First of all, the existing subflooring was removed so as to completely expose the supports down to the foundation plate. The concrete on the supports, joists, ceilings and foundations was removed all the way around to a thickness of approx. 10-15 cm, with the existing reinforcements being preserved as much as possible. Once the reinforcements had been renovated or replaced, shotcrete was applied. During this work, an emergency support was used as a replacement measure in order to bear the construction site loads. For safety reasons, all work was carried out in close coordination with the specialist consultants, the building managers on site, and the safety officer.
