Implenia receives general contractor order for the new building after a successful pre-construction phase.

The project

As general contractor, Implenia is planning and building the new turnkey police headquarters in Münster. The contract was awarded by the project company PPMS Immobilien GmbH & Co KG after a successful pre-construction phase with Implenia's involvement. The new building is in line with the Group's strategy of focusing on large, complex and specialized real estate projects. After Implenia brings forward the construction of the excavation pit, building construction will start in summer 2026 and will be completed by October 2029.

The police in Münster urgently needs expansion space and a modern police station with short distances and attractive new work concepts. CM Immobilien Entwicklung GmbH in Münster has signed the rental agreement with the police for the project company.

A three- to six-storey functional and administrative building is being built in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, with around 64,000 sqm GFA oi and 31,000 sqm ui. The new police headquarters for around 1,400 employees, which will bring together almost all the existing Münster police stations, will offer modern office workplaces, a police station, canteen, training areas including a sports hall, short detention areas, parking spaces for police cars, etc. as well as an underground parking garage in the basement.

Implenia's diverse services include end-to-end BIM planning of the building, lean management from the tender phase onwards and the desired LEED Gold certification. In addition, there are special requirements such as high security, very extensive electrical equipment with multiple redundant systems in some cases, specific requirements for the police custody area and prisoner collection point, diverse and highly interlocking uses, parking garages for oversized vehicles, control center, shooting range, sports hall, forensic laboratories, canteen kitchen as well as around 120,000 m³ of excavated earth and more than 10,000 tons of reinforcing steel.
