Les Platanes C, Prilly

Short description

In an environment of good quality, the plot of 1,960 m2 allows the realization of a building with four floors plus attic, entirely intended for apartments.

The project

The architectural design of this medium-height building allows it to blend seamlessly into the existing urban fabric. It stands out from its surroundings through the treatment of its façades, but also through its particular, arched geometry, which has a clear correspondence with the general structure of the surroundings.

The building was constructed using a classic building system, with a general floor slab and a main supporting structure over the façades, and has perimeter insulation with plaster. A different construction method favors the highlighting of certain façade elements: smooth facings made of fiber cement panels, arranged in an inverted process, are fixed to a wooden substructure, forming a ventilated façade system with external insulation. The envelope is complemented by insulating glazing with PVC frames fitted with high-performance glass (1.1 W/m2k). The roof, which consists of a sloping concrete slab, is clad with stainless steel sheeting, which is also attached to a wooden substructure with insulation and surface panels for support and bracing.

Services in detail

There are 24 rental apartments with a total gross floor area of 3,268m2. The building has a basement and is connected to the existing underground garage, where parking spaces are reserved for the building.

With an SIA volume of 9,539m3, this classic and good building offers well-dimensioned interior spaces and reflects a quality image on the outside, resulting in particular from a clever façade design. Its location on the municipal territory and in relation to the public and private infrastructure, as well as its good accessibility, make it a real estate object perfectly suited to the rental defined by the client, an institutional real estate investor.
