Short description

After deconstruction of the existing building, Implenia is constructing the new turnkey headquarters with underground parking for the IHK Pfalz.

The project

In the new building with event and seminar areas, bistro and underground parking garage at Ludwigsplatz in Ludwigshafen, around 160 employees, who currently work at different locations, will be able to work together more efficiently.

The contract includes demolition, planning from Lph 1 and turnkey execution. The project was tailored to the needs of the future users in a collaborative partnership.

Services in detail

First, the existing building had to be demolished. According to plans by schneider+schumacher Architekten, the ready-to-occupy property with two functional areas has been under construction since March 2024: on the street front, the new building is integrated into the existing buildings and offers office space on six upper floors. At the rear, 27 seminar and conference rooms of various sizes from S to XXL will be located on three floors above ground.

Both buildings will have a technical floor on top. Various roof areas, some of which are intensively greened, create well-proportioned recreational areas in front of the training rooms on all floors of the new rear building, provide good lighting and ventilation for the rooms and improve the microclimate for the neighboring residential use.

Sustainability

The property is being built to the KfW40NH standard. Supporting measures include a PV system, water-cooled chiller with surface cooling systems (cooling ceilings & cooling sails), district heating.
