GYBUS - Extension of the sports hall in Bussigny

Short description

The design for the expansion of the sports hall in Bussigny envisages a new building comprising 23 classrooms, an auditorium with 300 seats and a comprehensive sports infrastructure, including a triple hall and two rooftop sports fields.

The project

The project to extend the gymnasium in Bussigny envisages the construction of a new building comprising 15 multi-purpose classrooms, 8 specialist rooms, a 300-seat auditorium, a VD6-type triple sports hall and two outdoor sports fields on the roofs of the future building.

Challenges

Installation of 30-metre-long beams, each weighing 44 tons, which form the load-bearing scaffolding and enable the integration of two floors of classrooms above the future sports hall.

This challenge, which was completed in November 2025, required the use of a 450-ton mobile crane to transport the prefabricated beams.

Sustainability

The project will be built to the Minergie-P/ECO standard.
