EÜ Ludwigslust
Short description
Together with the town of Ludwigslust, DB Netz AG is building a railroad overpass at Ludwigslust station to modernize the infrastructure, including the construction of barrier-free platform access to the tracks. In conjunction with the new construction of the central bus station (ZOB) and the station forecourt, the area around the station is being completely redesigned.
The project
To replace the former level crossing, a railroad underpass with adjoining trough structures is being built at km 170.8+28 on route 6100 Berlin - Hamburg.
In addition to the special civil engineering works for the watertight excavation pits, VE Lot 13 includes the delivery and installation of auxiliary bridges for the restoration of rail traffic between Berlin and Hamburg. Lot 12 includes the subsequent civil engineering of the viaduct.
For the new construction of the level crossing, an excavation pit lining consisting of diaphragm and sheet pile walls with a deep-seated sealing base is planned as an excavation pit enclosure for the trough excavation pit. The sealing base blocks the excavation pit against the vertical inflow of groundwater and is designed as a jet grouting base at an appropriate depth. The excavation pit is being constructed in 6 construction sections with subdivision by transverse bulkheads, and the excavation pit walls are being supported in sections by permanent anchors or bracing.
During the breaks in construction phases 1 + 2, the Hamburg-Berlin, Ludwigslust-Wismar and Parchim lines as well as the station tracks 15-23 will be restored after the construction of the partial excavation pits and the installation of temporary bridges.
Access to the platforms in the station is currently via a pedestrian underpass with adjoining stairs to the platforms. In future, these will be accessed from the level crossing via elevators and staircases suitable for the disabled.
In advance and at the same time, construction clearance measures for cable relocation, explosive ordnance search, as well as overhead line and platform dismantling are being carried out in the other lots of the tender.
Completion of the special civil engineering work to create the approx. 184m-long trough excavation is scheduled for mid-November 2022. The railroad overpass is scheduled to go into operation in 2025.
