Short description

Construction of two new main bridges, each 1000m long in each direction.

The project

The renewal of the bridge, which is over 50 years old, is necessary due to the overall poor condition of the structure and the fact that it no longer has sufficient load-bearing reserves for today's traffic conditions. Since the construction of the Marktbreit bridge over the River Main, the rapid increase in freight and heavy goods traffic has led to a change in use of the viaduct. The existing bridge is not designed for these high loads. The new construction will therefore be designed for current and future traffic loads.
