Bergedorfer Tor
Short description
In Hamburg-Bergedorf, Implenia is erecting the extended shell of a neighbourhood centre with a variety of uses.
The project
Hochbau-Niederlassung Hamburg is building the extended shell of a neighbourhood centre in Hamburg-Bergedorf for Projektgesellschaft Bergedorfer Tor, Hamburg. On the site of the former post office, an important building block is being created for the urban future of the Hamburg district.
The ensemble of five buildings offers an attractive mix of uses: modern office space, 95 new flats for all generations, a medical centre with one of Germany's most modern practices for radiation therapy, and assisted living in a central location. Gastronomy and attractive retail spaces are planned for the ground floor.
Due to its exposed location, the central nine-storey office tower is a new landmark of Hamburg's most southeastern district. The striking all-brick façade and the timelessly classic architectural language lend the building additional visibility and solidity.
Sustainability
A sustainable mix of ice storage, solar collectors and a combined heat and power unit supplies the neighbourhood centrally with heat and electricity.
