Proven sustainable construction sites

Sustainable construction is not just about the result, but also about the way to get there. Construction sites make an important contribution with their processes and organization. The "Sustainable Construction Site" certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) provides independent proof that a construction site is planned and operated sustainably – on the basis of a transparent system with measurable criteria.

While certification of buildings (such as to the Minergie standard) is primarily the responsibility of the client, DGNB "Sustainable Construction Site" certification is initiated and implemented by the construction sites themselves. Three Implenia construction sites in Germany have now successfully completed the pre-certification process, including the rehearsal and workshop center for the Bavarian State Theater in Munich (see picture above), the Doormannsweg residential building in Hamburg and the Essen Technology Park.
